The grand temple of Maa Baglamukhi is located on the banks of the Lakhundar River in Nalkheda, district Agar Malwa, Madhya Pradesh. This sacred temple holds great religious as well as tantric significance. The Baglamukhi Havan performed here is renowned worldwide for tantric sadhana and for removing obstacles, sufferings, and negative influences from life.
It is believed that the town where Maa Baglamukhi resides remains protected from major calamities. According to tradition, the self-manifested (Swayambhu) idol of the Goddess dates back to the Mahabharata era. It is said that Yudhishthira, under the guidance of Lord Krishna, performed penance here and attained victory over the Kauravas. Even today, this holy place is known for its divine experiences and miracles.
Saints and spiritual practitioners from India and abroad come here for tantric sadhana. Maa Baglamukhi is the divine power who destroys diseases, enemies, negative energies, and all forms of suffering.
This temple is unique because it houses the Trishakti form—Maa Baglamukhi at the center, Maa Lakshmi on the right, and Maa Saraswati on the left. Such a Trishakti temple is believed to be rare in India.
The presence of sacred trees like Bel (Bilva), Champa, Aak, Amla, Neem, and Peepal growing together is considered a divine sign of the Goddess’s presence. Behind the temple, along the banks of the Lakhundar River (ancient name: Lakshmana), there are samadhis of many saints, indicating that this place has long been a center of spiritual practice and meditation.

Science Behind Havan (Yagya)
Pandavas performed a Havan dedicated to Bagalamukhi during the Mahabharata war to seek victory over the Kauravas.
Many people believe that Bagalamukhi Havan is performed by politicians and well-known public figures to seek victory, protection, and success.
In Indian spiritual traditions, especially within the worship of the Dasa Mahavidya, Maa Baglamukhi is associated with:
🛡 Protection from enemies and opposition
🗣 Control over speech (important for public speakers and leaders)
⚖ Success in legal and political matters
🧠 Mental strength and strategic clarity
Because of these beliefs, some politicians, business leaders, and celebrities are said to perform her havan before elections, major court cases, big business decisions, or important public events.

The Divine Forms of Maa Baglamukhi
Bagalamukhi is worshipped as a powerful and radiant form of the Divine Mother. It is believed that she resides on a magnificent jeweled throne placed upon a gem-studded island in the middle of the cosmic ocean. She is depicted as Trinetra (three-eyed), symbolizing divine awareness, and wears a crescent moon on her forehead. Her golden-yellow complexion represents strength, prosperity, and auspicious energy.
Maa Baglamukhi is dressed in yellow garments and adorned with garlands of champa flowers and sacred turmeric knots. Her ornaments are yellow and studded with precious gems, reflecting divine brilliance. Seated upon a radiant celestial chariot, she destroys enemies and removes negativity from the lives of her devotees.
Yellow is especially dear to the Goddess, so devotees offer golden (Swarna Shringar) and silver (Rajat Shringar) adornments. During sacred festivals like Navaratri and Baglamukhi Jayanti, she is beautifully decorated with colorful chunris and celebrated with deep devotion and grandeur.
